Thank you for visiting our new website. As a growing fitness company in southeast Tucson, we want you to know that you have options when it comes to your personal health and fitness program. Our company, the Arizona Pilates Academy is located within the Academy Village, a retirement community in southeast Tucson that offers a wide variety of intellectual, cultural, social, vocational, and physical enrichment programs. Our Pilates program, part of the physical enrichment program, started out as a benefit and service to Academy residents, but now has grown to serve the larger southeast Tucson area as well. Our staff offers personal training on Pilates equipment or in our weight room on classical fitness equipment, choosing exercises that address: flexibility, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, balance, coordination and agility. Even though we serve all ages, our specialty is older adult fitness (age 55+). We hope this website answers your questions regarding who we are, what we have to offer and how you can find us.

We are making an effort to present you with our entire spectrum of services which include Pilates personal training, Pilates instructor training and general small group exercise instruction utilizing Mind/Body principles, specializing in the aging adult. Jeanne Missey, MA, Master Fitness Educator, just created a DVD for older adult exercise called simply Total Fitness and can be accessed on-line at Totalfitnessllc.com. You may view part of the DVD and/or order it for your personal exercise program or purchase both the DVD and Instructor Manual for further clarification; but, the Instructor Manual is especially designed for fitness instructors who wish to teach older adults (age 55+). The emphasis of both of our websites is on customized fitness training for a "BODY BUILT TO LAST," utilizing Pilates principles and equipment as well as traditional fitness principles and equipment while catering to the older adult.
